In 1983, Boston’s Green Line was in need of a new, reliable light rail vehicle that could maneuver through the ice and snow of New England winters. They looked for a company that could modernize the line yet work seamlessly with the vehicles, signaling & communications systems already in place. KINKISHARYO delivered 120 custom-designed and engineered high-floor light rail vehicles.
